6 interesting facts about the mandate of Mike Maccagnan's Jets

Mike Maccagnan's time with the New York Jets officially ended this week.

Maccagnan was chosen by the Jets in 2015 to become their new CEO after firing John Idzik. While Idzik was good with money, Maccagnan was supposed to be good at finding talent. Given his resume as an NFL scout, many people thought that he was the ideal guy for the job. It did not work that way.

Maccagnan wrote some prestigious names (Sam Darnold, Marcus Maye, Jamal Adams and Leonard Williams) and found flights (Chris Herndon, Robby Anderson and Jordan Jenkins). Christian Hackenberg, Devin Smith and Lorenzo Mauldin have also failed.

Maccagnan also had the scent of free will. He has signed Darrelle Revis, Trumaine Johnson, Terrelle Pryor, Spencer Long and Isaiah Crowell. All have left with the exception of Johnson, who has just experienced a disappointing first season in New York.

The Jets will now look for a general manager who can consistently find talent at all levels. With this ongoing research, here are six not-so-fun facts about Maccagnan's time with the Jets.
