Wall Street has arrived in the arena of cryptocurrency. Fidelity Investments, one of the largest asset managers in the world, will launch a crypto trading service "in the coming weeks," according to a statement. Bloomberg report.
Fidelity indicates that its cryptocurrency trading product is aimed at institutional traders and will initially focus on bitcoin. Arlene Roberts, spokeswoman for Fidelity, said:
"We currently have a select group of customers that we support on our platform. We will continue to deploy our services in the coming weeks and months based on our clients' needs, jurisdictions and other factors. Currently, our service offering is focused on Bitcoin. "
Fidelity is one of the first major Wall Street actors to adopt Bitcoin. The company had previously announced its intention to create an institutional-level cryptographic guard service and promised an over-the-counter platform for bitcoin trading.
