ATHENS – Georgian football is filled with players who have been the focus of attention throughout their careers, and all will have hometowns and family members developed on Saturday night.
Most fans, however, follow the ball. Thus, the quarterback and the position of the players (half, receivers and tight ends) occupy a prominent place.
Defensive players who play the quarterback or interception passes also get rave reviews, again, because of their proximity to football.
But there is an element of "football by assignment" to which coaches like Kirby Smart are oriented.
