LOS ANGELES (KABC) – Seventy-five dollars may seem expensive for a cup of coffee, but it seems like a lot of people are willing to pay.

What is believed to be the most expensive cup of coffee in the world is already sold in several exclusive establishments in Southern California.

Klatch Coffee Roasters uses the exclusive Elida Geisha 803 coffee beans from Panama, which cost more than $ 800 per pound.

It's only available on their Los Angeles and San Francisco sites.

Klatch says that he owned the only 10 books available in the country. But they ran out of stocks after selling the mix at special events.

A business executive said that coffee was an affordable luxury, like an expensive wine.

"There's nothing like you've ever tried," said Heather Perry, Vice President of Klatch Coffee. "He has almost these beautiful qualities of tea, he has fruit aromas."

Perry says that although they are completely sold Elida Geisha 803 coffee beans, they have another grain from the same farm in Panama – and that's only five dollars a cup.
