The New England Patriots continue their program at the start of the regular season: Sunday, the team improved to 3-0 thanks to a decisive 30-14 win over the visiting New York Jets, who saw the three phases of the match and almost every player the list of 46 men contributes – for better or for worse. Loser: QB Jarrett Stidham
In the middle of the fourth quarter and up 30 to 7, the Patriots pulled Brady out of the match in favor of Jarrett Stidham. The rookie in the fourth round, however, only played four games: he completed two passes for a 14-yard pass, was sacked for a 7-yard loss and finally launched an interception in a reversal that was returned. 64 yards for a touchdown. Stidham did not have any other luck, while the Patriots rolled with Brady until the end of the game.

Even with Antonio Brown no longer part of the equation, the expanded Patriots receiver group showed why it was one of the most powerful units on the team. Two players stood out in particular: Josh Gordon and Phillip Dorsett. While Gordon captured six passes for a record 83 yards, Dorsett scored 53 yards and one touchdown for his six receptions. Julian Edelman left the competition at the end of the first period due to a chest injury, and with James White to start, the two took over and gave Tom Brady reliable options for the passing game.

The New England rookie bettor was very active despite the 30 goals scored by the Patriots: Jake Bailey was brought in for seven kicks and he looked good on average at 44.3 yards per punt. a net of 41.4. Five of his kicks landed inside the Jets' 20-yard line, another just falling in the end zone for a touchdown.
