America is taking a few hits from abroad.

The United States of America, the land of the free and the land of overweight, noisy, evangelical and gun-loving warmongers?
The United States has indeed been the butt of many jokes from our friends (and enemies) abroad. Let’s just say that the last few years haven’t done much to stem the mockery from abroad.
But what is the rest of the world doing really Think of the American people? A reviewer passing by psl2020 on Reddit attempted to find out by asking the simple question: “All non-US Redditors. What do you think all Americans cannot live on? ”
Hundreds of people rang the bell and here is a sample of the most popular responses:
1. Cars

“In European countries, it’s quite common that you can go anywhere on public transportation, but I haven’t heard of any public transportation working properly outside of the New York subway.”
2. Fast food

“We don’t like fast food because it’s good, we like it because we’re already completely overloaded and it’s the only thing available when we want a quick meal that we don’t have to do. – even because fast food companies have oversaturated the market. “
3. Material consumption

“That’s true in most places, but from my observation it seems to be going to another level in America. Everyone spends so much time discussing the last thing they bought and how awesome it is. ”
4. Air conditioning

“I spent time in the southwest. Everyone had these huge, refillable drink containers that they filled with sodas several times a day. While I agree that it’s important to stay hydrated, the jugs I saw contained 1.75 liters and this large amount of fountain drink has around 275 grams of sugar.
The list goes on and on as the jabs continued to land, prompting Americans on the wire to defend themselves, including MissKeek, which summed up much of the answer.
“Wow… I know we present ourselves as terrible humans, but it’s bad,” she wrote. “I’m just making a comment in the hope that people who are not from America can understand that while there are an awful lot of people exactly as you describe, there are so many people who just aren’t. eating fatty fast foods, hoarding processed foods, fighting education-to morons.
Beep2012 also tried to minimize stereotypes. “It reads like it was written by people who watch American television a lot,” he said. “Our news and our TV are usually s ** t. Please do not form an opinion on us in these ways. The worst of us are the loudest.
