NEW YORK – Walt Disney shares reach an all-time high at the start of the negotiations, after the company aggressively entered the streaming arena.
The Disney Plus video release will be released alongside a series of blockbuster movies, including Aladdin, Toy Story 4, The Lion King, Frozen 2 and Star Wars: Episode IX.
Shares of The Walt Disney Co. reached $ 129.85 at the opening bell on Friday, up 13%.
Disney Plus will be released in the United States on November 12 at a price of $ 6.99 per month, well below the $ 13 imposed each month by Netflix, which holds a dominant position in the streaming industry.
