Netflix CEO Reed Hastings will not be proposed for re-election at the company's annual shareholder meetings in 2019, Facebook reported on Friday.
Hastings' departure comes about three years after being disputed with his colleague Peter Thiel, a member of the board of directors, about their political leanings. In an email dated August 2016, Hastings told Thiel that he planned to stop his performance appraisal after approving Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, according to a New York report.
