Netflix CEO Reed Hastings will not be proposed for re-election at the company's annual shareholder meetings in 2019, Facebook reported on Friday.

Hastings' departure comes about three years after being disputed with his colleague Peter Thiel, a member of the board of directors, about their political leanings.
