The Vikings accept in principle a multi-year contract extension with WR Adam Thielen

Eagan, Minnesota (April 12, 2019) – The Minnesota Vikings announced that the team had agreed in principle for a multi-year contract extension with wide receiver Adam Thielen.

Thielen, who will begin his sixth season in the NFL in 2019, has been named for the consecutive Pro Bowls after the 2017 and 2018 seasons and has just completed a career year, recording 113 receptions (third highest in the history of the team) for 1,373 yards (fourth highest in team history) and nine touchdowns, all career highs. The native of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, became the first player in NFL history to record eight consecutive games with more than 100 yards of profit to start a season, which was done at the 2018 campaign.
