After the announcement of God the Eater 3 come to the switch, God the Eater 3 Producer Yuya Tomiyama wrote on the official website a blog post explaining what led to the decision and what would happen in the near future.

According to Tomiyama, many people have asked that the game come to the Switch, even at the first revelation of the game. Some people have mentioned their ability to play the game outside of the TV, others have indicated that they wanted to play locally with friends, and others who wanted to have a wearable experience again. In order to meet these demands, another team from the one that developed the game and the free updates was asked to check if this task was feasible.

Although it took a long time to make sure, they were able to announce the switch port as soon as it became certain that it was possible. In terms of content, the game will be identical to the PS4 and Steam versions. Tomiyama therefore recommends to players who have not played yet to consider choosing the Switch version.

In addition, free updates prior to version 1.40 have been confirmed by Bandai Namco. All upcoming updates will come on every platform God the Eater 3 is available on, including the version of Switch when released. Updates will not be delayed for the Switch version.

While the Tales of Vesperia the costumes are exclusive to the Switch version, the PS4 and Steam versions also benefit from a free update with a collab suit that has not been announced yet.

Tomiyama ended by saying that he wanted to continue doing God the Eater 3 an even better title by incorporating the suggestions and requests of the players.

God the Eater 3 is immediately available for PlayStation 4 and PC. The Nintendo Switch version will be released on July 12, 2019.
