The playoffs of the NBA will continue Sunday with four other series of the first round. To kick off the day, the Boston Celtics, fourth seed, used a phenomenal defensive performance in the second half to crush Indiana Pacers' visitors. In the third quarter, the Boston defeated Indiana at just 2 of 19 shots, and outscored the Pacers 26 to 8 in the frame.
Things then shifted to the Western Conference for the second game of the day between Portland Trail Blazers, seeded third, and Oklahoma City Thunder, sixth seeded. Using a 39-point opening start to qualify, the Blazers kept control of the Thunder, leading them for almost 23 seconds of the opening game.
In the evening, the Milwaukee Bucks, the top ranked East, embarrassed the Detroit Pistons (eighth heads), beating them by a score of 121-86. The Pistons did not have Blake Griffin, who continues to be absent day-to-day because of a knee injury. Giannis Antetokounmpo had to play only 23 minutes in the breakup, posting 24 points and 16 rebounds in limited action.
Finally, reigning MVP James Harden and the Houston Rockets welcome Utah Jazz in a battle between the fourth and fifth seeds in the West. Both teams had some success in the playoffs last season, but will look to make more progress than they did a year ago.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way (24 points, 16 rebounds) while seven Bucks scored double digits in Milwaukee's 121-86 win over Detroit in the opening game of their first-round series.

The Thunder had a disappointing 3-point shooting performance, but that happened right after their conversion to only their fourth point at 3 points in the game. After Paul George converted to a trey to shoot thunder in one minute, Damian Lillard nailed this long-range dagger to the next possession.
