What was this weapon that Arya asked Gendry to make?

(Spoilers to come for the first season of "Game of Thrones")

The last season of "Game of Thrones" has begun, finallyand the war is again imminent, with the night king's army of the dead having crossed the wall and heading south at a disturbing rate. The first episode of the season, nicknamed "Winterfell", saw most of the main characters arrive in their place before the first big confrontation with the White Walkers and their non-living forces.

One of these characters, Gendry (Joe Dempsie), has spent the episode returning to what he does best, namely working as a blacksmith and making weapons. Gendry is in Winterfell to help turn carts filled with dragonglass ore into usable weapons for use against the dead. And Arya (Maisie Williams) wanted to take advantage of Gendry's skills as a blacksmith to get something for herself.

But Arya did not want any old thing that Gendry had succeeded. She wanted something special. So when she and Gendry finally found themselves so long after their adventures in the middle of Westeros, they flirted a bit and Arya made her request. She gave him a piece of paper with an interesting drawing, which you can see here:

It looks like a kind of modular spear with a dragonglass tip, with a handle that can be split in two on demand. We know that the spearhead is meant to be dragonglass because "dragonglass" is the only word written on the page. This type of modular design is unusual, but it makes sense for Arya to be very small and Braavosi's fighting style she uses.

A spear that could be divided into two parts would allow great flexibility in the way it wants to use it. And the tip of the spear also seems to cause damage. So, when she splits, Arya could use the lower half as another weapon.

The full lance also looks generally smaller than normal, given the proportions of the tip of the dragonglass. It may not be a proportional drawing but, again, it makes sense for Arya not to use a full-length spear because of its size.

It does not seem to be a kind of legendary weapon in the Game of Thrones and Song of Ice and Fire universe, or at least one of those we had heard before. Or maybe it's not legendary again, and will become so after Arya uses it. And I'm delighted to see him in action, because with the way Arya fights, this spear in dragonglass seems to have fun.

There are only five episodes of Game of Thrones left, so I guess it will not be long before we can see this thing in action.
