Mets manager Mickey Callaway does not think RHP Jacob deGrom shifts his pitch after deGrom has had difficulty in his second consecutive start.

"I have not seen anything like it," Callaway said after Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Atlanta Braves. "You sometimes start wondering when they make better swings than they normally do, and you have to look for fouled pitches when they may tip over, but we do not see anything from the canoe."

DeGrom (2-2) tied a high of the season with 114 shots in just five innings, allowing three runs, five hits and four walks with nine strikeouts.

The reigning National League winner, winner of the Cy Young Award, has allocated two circuits; on the other hand, he only allowed two home runs in his first 10 starts last year.

"I'm not really throwing the ball where I want right now," deGrom said after the game. Nick Markakis to hit a good pitch and saying that he's left a pitch in the middle for Josh Donaldson.

While deGrom started the year with 13 consecutive innings in white in his first two starts, he allowed nine runs and 13 hits in his last nine innings in two starts.

"I do not know if it's anything mechanical," DeGrom said. "I'll have to go there and watch and understand."

DeGrom launched 20 shots in the first set, 22 in the second and 29 in the third. While the Braves escaped 15 throws from Grom in the first three innings, Callaway said he did not think DeGrom was going to tip over.

"I'm sure we're going back as we always do after every game and see if we notice anything after a game, but I did not notice anything in the game," he said.

DeGrom accepted.

"Look at the lands they hit, they are in the middle of the plate," he said. "When I do my pitch, I get the swings I want, but these last two, I just did not do the pitches I have to do."
