Joel Embiid could not keep a straight face while apologizing for his elbow on Jarrett Allen

Joel Embiid was hit by a blatant foul late in the first half of his Sixers' (145-123) win over the Nets on Monday night when he unleashed the full force of his elbow on Jarrett's neck Allen while trying to beat him paint. Allen is immediately up, but my God, this elbow seems to be able to bring down a California sequoia.

Embiid, with Ben Simmons at his side, apologized for the elbow at the post-game press conference. And then the two Sixers laughed. There is probably no reason to doubt Embiid's sincerity, but the words "I'm sorry" land a little differently when followed by 10 seconds of uncontrollable laughter.

"I'm not generally humble, that's why he's laughing," Embiid said of Simmons. You will notice however that Embiid does not explain what he find so funny.
