iOS 13 will bring a huge update of the dark mode on iPhone

If you are a fan of dark mode on just about every device you own, you will really love the next version of iOS.

Indeed, according to a new report from 9to5Mac, iOS 13, the iOS update expected later this year, will finally add a dark system-wide mode.

According to 9to5Mac sources, the update will come with a dark mode that you can control in the application of the main settings. Apparently similar to the dark mode of macOS, the iOS version will allow a darker theme throughout your phone. (Although each application developer would probably still need to support this feature.)

Also on the agenda for iOS 13: new multitasking features for iPad, an improved Mail application and a new "cancel" gesture.

The new features of the iPad promise a more flexible way of using multiple apps at once. The update would allow each application to run in multiple smaller windows instead of just performing multiple tasks on the split screen.

"Each window may also contain leaves that are initially attached to a portion of the screen, but that can be detached by a gesture of sliding, becoming a card that can be moved freely," according to 9to5.

Talking about gestures, iOS 13 will introduce a new gesture to "undo" actions that will include a three-finger gesture that seems rather complicated. (Although the current "shake to cancel" iOS has been using for years is also totally unintuitive.)

The Mail application is also configured to change the organization of emails because it will sort messages similar to those of Gmail and Inbox (RIP).

Finally, a minor but significant change: Apple would change the graph on the screen that appears when you change the volume of your iPhone. Presumably, the UI, criticized for so long that it becomes its own item, will not interfere with the entire screen simply because you want to adjust your volume settings.

Of course, these changes are still rumors for the moment. Nothing is certain until WWDC, the annual June event organized by Apple, presents new updates to iOS and macOS. Until then, we will have to be obsessed with the dark mode of Twitter while we expect more leaks.
