Shares closed down on Wall Street on Monday, as the fall in bank stocks led the S & P 500 to its third loss of the last three weeks. Goldman Sachs and Citigroup each declared that their equity trading had struggled in the first quarter. Goldman fell 3.8% while Citi shares fell 0.1%. The S & P 500 index fell 1 point to 2,905, according to the AP. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 27 points, or 0.1%, to 26,384, and the Nasdaq lost 8 points to 7,976. Also note: Advanced scrapping jumped 19% after accepting an offer $ 3 billion buyout of Waste Management.
