It is 9 pm in Seattle and still have nothing to say regarding a new contract for Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, before the arbitrarily imposed deadline.
According to Mike Garafolo of the NFL network, discussions around an agreement are silent right now without indication, the parties are close to an agreement.
However, at least one thing could work in favor of reaching an agreement. A source predicted to Mike Florio of PFT that any deal would probably contain "huge numbers"But would consist of a conventional contract structure. This means that it would not need new wording to reflect the value of the transaction related to a percentage of salary cap or other unprecedented clauses.
Assuming this is the case, it then simply becomes a way to find numbers that both parties can agree on. Although these numbers may actually be quite large, they further facilitate discussions of an agreement.
The deadline can prompt action and the deadline imposed by Wilson is fast approaching.
