On April 20, the PS4 version of God of the war is going to be a year old and the developer Santa Monica Studio publishes a free version God of the war birthday theme and avatar to celebrate. However, according to the director of the game, Cory Barlog, it's not the only thing to do for this memorable occasion. Sharing an article mentioning the theme and the free avatar, Barlog replied: "This is not everything".

This quickly led to endemic speculations, many hoping that God of the war would receive some type of downloadable content as part of this birthday celebration. Notably, this is not the craziest idea, as Barlog has already mentioned God of the war DLC as part of the action-adventure title plan, but this was finally decided. It does not seem that this idea is taken again for this anniversary, because Barlog quickly specified that his tease was not related to the downloadable content.

Many hoping to return to the adventures of Dad and Boy may be disappointed to learn it, but the good news is that Barlog knows something he does not share yet. What this might be in reality remains to be seen, but Barlog has responded to fan ideas regarding his God of the war tease.

Some have asked the question of Kratos in Super Smash Bros. UltimateHowever, Barlog said he did not think Nintendo was as interested as something like that. Another fan asked if it was an output of "The Making of God of the war" documentary, to which Barlog responded with a curious emoji. This does not confirm in any way what Barlog teases, but everything related to more God of the war is likely to be well received, especially considering a God of the war the sequel is reportedly in the works.
