Today, Microsoft has released another update for Xbox One. Although this download does not radically change the operating system, it introduces some nice features like the mini keyboard and improved uninstall options. If you own Xbox One, Xbox One S, or Xbox One X, make sure to download it now.
Microsoft said the following when discussing new features brought by the April patch.
Now that we're officially in the spring, it's time to clean up your backlog. Even with so many games to go, we've got some new features to share coming up on Xbox One. The April 2019 update of the Xbox offers new methods to use the Xbox Game Pass, use the virtual keyboard and manage your digital library.
Xbox Game Pass quests
You will be able to access the progress of the quests directly from the dashboard and browse all quests from "My Profile".
Virtual Mini Keyboard
A new mini keyboard has been added as the default view. Now, the keyboard no longer hides half of the screen when you publish something during a game. However, if you want a larger keyboard, you can always re-enable it in Accessibility.
Power Center
The team added a new option to restart the console in the "Power Center". Just hold down the Xbox button on the controller to access this setting.
Improved uninstallation
If your hard drive is full, you are directed to "My Games and Applications" to delete games. Now, the console will offer you the games to delete to allow you to free enough space.
Xbox Media Remote
The Xbox Media Remote now allows you to reprogram the OneGuide button to launch another program.
