Speak dead Chris Hardwick, host and former director of the Nerdist series, is once again in hot water, this time because of a so-called broken podcast deal. According to new reports from TMZ, Hardwick was allegedly sued by podcast company Cadence13 for allegations that Hardwick would have dropped his podcast while he was on a two-year contract. The legal documents obtained through the gossip website indicate that Hardwick had advanced $ 1 million.
Due to the alleged breach of the contract, Cadence13 would have $ 606,000 against it, which the company could not recover through the sale of advertising. Hardwick has stopped recording new episodes of his podcast ID10T after sexual abuse charges were laid for the first time last June. After an investigation by AMC, Hardwick was quickly reinstated as a host of Speak dead and no charges have been filed.
"After a comprehensive evaluation by AMC, in collaboration with Ivy Kagan Bierman of Loeb & Loeb, who has considerable experience in this field, Chris Hardwick will return to AMC as Talking Dead Talking Leader with Chris Hardwick. "said AMC Networks. in a statement at the time of his reinstatement. "We take these issues very seriously and, given the information we have after a very thorough review, including interviews with many people, we think Chris's return to work is the right step."
Previous reports suggest that more than two dozen employees Speak dead left the show after the return of Hardwick.
Fear the undead goes back to AMC on June 2nd with the first sending blow to 21h / 20h Central.
