Masahiro Sakurai shares more information about Joker and Persona before tonight's Smash Ultimate update

Yesterday saw the long awaited debut of the Persona 5 Joker for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, with a lot of flash that suits a game as elegant. Speaking on Twitter, Masahiro Sakurai decided to share some additional information about Joker and other Persona content, which have now been translated into English via the official Nintendo Versus account. Check out the thread below and read on for some highlights:

  • The True to the Joker source screen offers a variant in which the Morgana car will ride instead of Joker itself, as is the case in Persona 5 when meeting with Shadow in Mementos.
  • We've seen how the Ultimate's Mementos stage and Joker's Victory screen fit, whether the music is from Persona 3, 4 or 5. However, there is also a green version of the Victory Screen for free games. This means that each player color has a victory screen variant!
  • As many have assumed, the Joker's blue, yellow and red suits pay homage to the key colors of Persona 3, 4 and 5 respectively.

  • The final Joker's All-Out-Attack smash includes two character sets to ensure that all ghost robbers participate in the action. If you win a match with this one, the results screen will be placed on the striking image of the conclusion of the attack. That's again the way it worked in P5 – making it a nice touch.
  • The new arrangement "Under the mask" is made by none other than ACE, those behind Gang-Plank Galleon and others already in Ultimate. There are also newly recorded lyrics of the original singer, Lyn.
  • All ghost robbers can spend time on the Mementos stage, with the exception of Futaba, although she has the opportunity to give her opinion during All Out Attacks. Likewise, each member has voice lines for the results screen, which are also newly recorded.
  • The special Spirit Board for the new DLC pack is very practical. Spirits will not run away if you can not surpass them, and allow you to try again and again until you get them. Looks like this will be the trend for future DLC packs and their spirits.

That's all, even though the common thread has also shouted our old friend, the official website of Smash Bros. Ultimate, who saw an important update for Joker, the content of the 3.0 update and new Mii costumes. Take a look and get ready for anything to happen tonight.

When he does not write for Nintendo Wire, Ricky expects the next Kirby, Fire Emblem, or if stars ever line up, to Mother 3, be released. Until then, he will have the warm comfort of Super Smash Bros.
