The goal of the Cowboys this season is not only to participate in the playoffs, but to "move on to the next stage".
Cowboys Executive Vice President Stephen Jones has often used these four words in interviews in recent months.
Dallas finished with a winning record for three consecutive years. But prolonging this series will be difficult with the program that they have received thanks to the season of 10 wins and the division title of last year.

Week 1: September 8 against the Giants of New York
WINNING (1-0)

Week 2: September 15 in Washington Redskins, noon

Week 3: September 22nd against Miami dolphins, noon
WIN (3-0)
The Dolphins have had a winning season in the last 10 years. Dallas' last match against Miami ended in one of four wins for the Cowboys during the 2015 season. It also marked Tony Romo's final quarter-final victory in the franchise.
Week 4: September 29th at New Orleans Saints at 7:20 pm (Sunday night football)
LOSS (3-1)
New Orleans should again take revenge for the 13-10 defeat of last season against AT & T Drew Brees at home last season: 6-1 with 21 touchdowns, one interception and a 133.3.
Week 5: October 6th against Green Bay Packers, 3:25 pm
LOSS (3-2)
The last time Aaron Rodgers played at AT & T Stadium, he scored three touchdowns and no interceptions while orchestrating an incredible 35-31 victory after the last minute.
Week 6: October 13 at New York Jets, 3:25 pm
WIN (4-2)
New York has had a winning season in the last eight years. After consecutive losses, the Cowboys get this match at the right time. The last time Dallas played against the Jets, Matt Cassel and Kellen Moore were the quarterbacks of the Cowboys.
Week 7: October 20 against the Philadelphia Eagles, 7:20 pm (Sunday night football)
LOSS (4-3)
They will be the two favorites to win the NFC East early in the season. The Cowboys swept the series with Philadelphia last year, but the teams had split the series five years in a row.
Week 8: Bye week
Week 9: November 4th at the Giants of New York at 7:15 pm (Monday night football)
WIN (5-3)
Although the Cowboys are favorites, the battle between Saquon Barkley and Ezekiel Elliott will keep things interesting. Dallas finally improves to 5-3 under Jason Garrett after the break week.
Week 10: November 10 against the Minnesota Vikings at 7:20 pm (Sunday night football)
LOSS (5-4)
It was one of the toughest games to predict. If the Vikings play as they did last year, the Cowboys will win it. If they bounce and play as they did in 2017, Dallas will fall to 5-4.
Week 11: Nov. 17 at Detroit Lions, at noon
WIN (6-4)
Dak Prescott played some of his best football games against the Lions. In two wins against Detroit, Prescott completed 68% of his passes for 467 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions, while posting a passer rating of 135.7.
Week 12: Nov. 24 at the New England Patriots at 3:25 pm
LOSS (6-5)
In the past six seasons, the Patriots are 42-6 at home. As long as Tom Brady plays the quarterback and Bill Belichick is a coach, the Cowboys are in trouble.
Week 13: November 28 against Buffalo bills, 3:30 pm (Thanksgiving)
WIN (7-5)
Cole Beasley has a good game on his return, but it turns out to be a better afternoon for the Cowboys. Buffalo has not won double-digit games in a season since 1999. Wade Phillips was the coach of the Bills that year and Doug Flutie was their quarterback.
Week 14: December 5th at Chicago Bears, 7:20 pm (Thursday Night Football)
LOSS (7-6)
A winter night in Chicago means the Cowboys could watch the single-digit temperatures. A quality racing game should travel, but it is difficult to play against the local team in this type of environment.
Week 15: December 15 against LA Rams, 3:25 pm
LOSS (7-7)
Los Angeles is still charged and should remain one of the best teams in the NFL. In the last two seasons, the Rams went 24-8. They were also 13-3 on the road during this stretch.
Week 16: December 22 at the Philadelphia Eagles, 3:25 pm
WIN (8-7)
The Cowboys must win this victory to keep their hopes of playing in the playoffs. Fortunately for them, Philadelphia continues to be a great host. Dallas improves to 7-1 in Philadelphia since 2012.
Week 17: December 29 against the Washington Redskins, noon
WIN (9-7)
Dallas secures a wild card spot with the win, but the Eagles hang on to win the division with a record of 10-6. For the 15thth consecutive season, there will be no recurring champion in the east of the NFC.
