People could not help talking about the mysterious sinks in the Wests bathroom after the reality TV star answered Vogue's 73 questions last week. At first, their sinks looked like solid, flat counters with taps but no drains, and many wondered where the water was going.
Sister Kardashian gave curious minds a glimpse of how the sinks work.
"Since everyone is a little confused about our sinks, I thought I'd just like to show you a little tour," she said in her article on Instagram.
First, she showed the bathroom to more than 134 million followers and said her husband, Kanye, was one of the spirits behind the sinks.
"Well, wells, Kanye drew that," she said. "Kanye, Axel Vervoordt and Claudio Silvestrin have all done this sink."
She went on to explain that there were eight prototypes of this sink and explained why the sinks are not against a wall (they thought it would look colder).
But the magic happens when Kim opens the tap. She showed, more closely, that the counter surface under the faucet gently bends down towards a slot.
"There is a slot for the water and she gets in," she said, moving the faucet handle. "You can put it as hard as you want and no backsplash will rise."
And there you have it. Mystery solved.
