There were some major revelations and bombs that changed the game Game of thrones Last episode 1 appeared to us last Sunday that fans will be eager to see this weekend in episode 2, as the eighth and final season of the series draws to a close. The major twists, like the revelation of Jon Snow, not Daenerys, are the real heirs of the Iron Throne. Dany and he are also linked, which will make the conversation embarrassing given their "proximity".
You almost wonder if this revelation is causing the concern that everyone sees in the image at the top of this post, which is part of a lot of new images of the upcoming episode of the series that HBO has just published.
HBO has not spoiled anything by offering these images in preview, but some of them will undoubtedly excite fans to see how what they describe is playing out. At the end of the last episode, for example, we saw Jaime Lannister hooded up at Winterfell and immediately stunned by the sight of the very living (relatively speaking) Bran Stark.
Which leads to the reception of Jaime, as described in another of the new HBO images from episode 2:
Most other people in the batch of new images are described in the same way. Drinking, frowning, thinking, knowing and not knowing. Seriously, HBO, we get it. Eight seasons since, all our thespians have mastered the art of meaningful gaze.
We joke, of course, because it's not as if the network was going to let the cat out of its bag from the beginning for an important issue. And HBO certainly knows what it's doing in terms of messaging and boosting fan interest for the last season. As we reported on Monday, the first season of season 8 was watched by a record 17.4 million people.
