Respawn developer gives an update on Apex Legends' data logging and access issues

After the Apex Legends v1.1.1 update failed to resolve problems recording hits and audio issues, players get impatient, but a member of the development team Respawn Entertainment assured the fans that they were "working on it".

The latest fix for Apex Legends was mainly dealing with balancing issues, Legends and Weapons being tweaked to improve (hopefully) the gameplay.

However, there were also notable omissions in the patch. There was only one fix, despite the handful of bugs since the launch, and patches for the reg hit and audio issues, mentioned by Respawn a few weeks ago, did not attract attention either .

Caustic and Gibraltar both gained additional damage resistance of 10% in the last update.

On March 22nd, Jay Frechette, Respawn community leader, said he was "informed and testing a fix locally" for hit hit issues, and that he would provide a "next week" response to audio problems.

The following week arrived and passed without any response, and when the v1.1.1 update was released on April 15, still without correction for hit reg reg and audio, some players were naturally disappointed. The patch stated, "We are actively working on many improvements and we are aware of reports about audio issues, slow servers, hit records, and so on."

A developer, known as u / Scriptacus on Reddit, reacted to a fairly obvious case of recording abuse of results, denying the division of their priorities. Although legend and balancing of arms are first, Scriptacus explains that the engineering and design teams are distinct from each other.

Regarding the lack of updates on the problems, the developer says that there is simply no significant progress as they are unable to reproduce the problems in the "development environment".

This means that there is "no ETA" on audio issues or reg hit problems, but we are assured that "progress is being made".

Other updates are expected soon for Apex Legends, but a balance will still have to be found between new content, new cosmetic elements and technical fixes. While some players give priority to the first, others to the second and Respawn must try to appease as many as possible.
