The Mueller report is free, but publishers sell it as a book

The report of the special council, Robert S. Mueller III, was finally released on Thursday and many publishers were already looking to profit from it.

"The wait is over," promised Skyhorse, an independent publisher of the "Mueller Report: The Final Report of the Special Council in Donald Trump, Russia, and Collusion." With a foreword by Alan Dershowitz, a Harvard Law School professor, criticizing Mr. Mueller's investigation and hailed by President Trump, it's already an Amazon best-seller, ranked # 1 in the "Biographies of Espionage" category.

The handheld edition will be available next week and the digital version will be available on Friday, said a representative of the publisher.

Just behind is The Mueller Report, an offer from the Washington Post and Scribner's Simon & Schuster print, which promises "exclusive analysis" by Pulitzer Prize-winning staff members. Brian Belfiglio, vice president and director of advertising at Scribner, said that the trademark expects to publish an e-book Friday and that the pocket edition intended for trade will be available on April 26 or before.
