McDonald's draws top quality burgers from the menu to focus on Quarter Pounders

The largest restaurant chain in the world claims that it is adding to its Quarter Pounder product line with a new Quarter Pounder Deluxe burger and a Bacon Quarter Pounder burger. The Quarter Pounder bacon burger was introduced in January as a limited time offer.

Since 2015, McDonald's and Chief Executive Officer Steve Easterbrook have been pushing technology – including kiosks for online ordering, digital menus and delivery – as well as offerings such as artisanal burgers to increase sales and help McDonald's stand out among its rivals, according to Bloomberg.

Last year, McDonald's announced its intention to remove some preservatives and false colors from its hamburgers to clean its menu.

The company "removed the artificial preservatives from its American cheese, buns and special Big Mac sauce, a decision that affected nearly two-thirds of its burger range in the United States," according to Bloomberg.
