Konami unveiled the complete set of games to be included in Castlevania's anniversary collection, which includes a ton of classics as well as a game officially coming to the West for the first time. It should be available May 16 on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, priced at $ 20.
The latest additions that complete the lineup include Castlevania: The Adventure, Castlevania II: The Quest for Simon, Castlevania Bloodlines and Kid Dracula. The Adventure was the franchise's first release on handheld devices, and Simon's Quest introduced role-playing mechanics. Bloodlines is a game from Genesis that complements the SNES Super Castlevania IV, which is also part of the collection.
Kid Dracula is perhaps the jewel of the collection. This is a pretty cartoon fallout appeared on the NES in 1990. Konami boasts of having previously been unpublished outside of Japan. The adorable little vampire cartoon adventure is unfortunately not technically considered a Castlevania gun, unfortunately.
In total, the game library is as follows:
- Castlevania
- Castlevania II: Simon's Quest
- Castlevania III: the curse of Dracula
- Super Castlevania IV
- Castlevania The adventure
- Castlevania II: the revenge of Belmont
- Castlevania lines
- Kid Dracula
- Bonus ebook
The emulation is managed by M2 and the ebook bonus includes an interview with the producer of the animated series Adi Shankar.
