The playoffs of the NBA have given us a very intriguing first round so far.
The action continued Saturday with four games. Things started with the No. 3 seeded Philadelphia 76ers, who defeated the Nets, ranked sixth, 112-108, in a rough competition that included ejections and a 3-time winner from Mike Scott. Later, the No. 2 Nuggets played in their series against the Spurs at 2-2 with a 117-103 victory in Game 4. The top ranked Bucks maintained their dominance over the Pistons with a rout of 119-103 and increased their lead to 3-0 despite the return of Blake Griffin. Finally, the Rockets continued their dominant momentum in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with another victory over the Jazz in the third game.
Sunday, there are four games 4, starting with the Boston Celtics, No. 4, completing the first round sweep of the Indiana Pacers, No. 5, with a 110-106 win. In the second game of the day, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson allowed the Golden State Warriors to beat the Los Angeles Clippers to take a 3-1 lead in their series. Later, the No. 2 Toronto Raptors eliminated Orlando Magic No. 7 convincingly behind a remarkable performance by Kawhi Leonard to take a decisive lead in the 3-1 series. Finally, the Oklahoma City Thunder No. 6 will try to balance the series at home against the third-seeded Portland Trail Blazers.
