Actress Nicole Kidman revealed that she was often teased by friends for passing on to her children her strong belief in God.
The 51-year-old actress shares two children with country singer Keith Urban as well as her other two children from her previous marriage with Tom Cruise. The star revealed that her friends often comment on her faith and the way she has her daughters, Sunday Rose, 10, and Faith Margaret, 8, go to church with their family.
"A lot of my friends tease me," Kidman revealed in a cover story for Vanity Fair.

"That's how we raise our children. Keith has his own beliefs, but he's coming too. I had a very Catholic grandmother and I grew up praying, which had a tremendous impact, "said the Oscar winner.
Despite the pretty jabes of his entourage, the star is not discouraged. However, she says that she does not raise her children to fear asking questions about their faith.
"I would not say it's absolutism, it's a constant questioning – I'm a brave and willful girl," Kidman said. "For me, it's very important not to judge. My father always said, "Tolerance is the most important thing."

This is not the first time Kidman has emphasized the importance of his religion. In 2018, she revealed to Allure that she was about to become a religious before going into theater.
"I am spiritual in the sense that I absolutely believe in God," she said at the time. "I loved the idea of being religious. Obviously, I did not choose to go that route, but I was very attracted to it. "

Fortunately, Kidman is no stranger to breaking with parenting conventions. In the same interview with Vanity Fair, she explained that she was setting "limits" with her children by not letting them use the phone.
