As we have already learned before the publication of Avengers: End of the game, the MCU climate film will not only mark the end of phase 3 but a major difference from all its predecessors – there is no such thing as a post-credit scene. However, the film includes a last match after the credits have finished rolling. It's a subtle sound effect reminiscent of the very beginning of the Marvel Film Universe and the first film to really set the stage for the most powerful heroes on the planet.
While all of Marvel's past films use their post-credit footage to highlight the future of the MCU and their upcoming films, this film uses its final sound effect in quite a different way. This reminds the viewer of the beginning of Marvel – and really brings the franchise to a complete circle.
The sound effect comes directly from the first MCU movie released in 2008 – Iron Man. In particular, the sound effect came out of the scene where Tony Stark is building his very first Iron Man costume in a cave in Afghanistan. It's basically the scene that marks the origin of the first MCU hero – and that means a lot after looking through End of Game.
It's really a moment of emotion, especially given the role played by Iron Man in End of Game and the decisive death of his character.
In Avengers: End of the game…
Leaving space without food or water, Tony Stark sends a message to Pepper Potts as his oxygen supply begins to dwindle. Meanwhile, the remaining Avengers – Thor, Black Widow, Captain America and Bruce Banner – have to find a way to bring their vanquished allies back for an epic confrontation with Thanos – the demonic demi-god who has decimated the planet and l? universe.
The MCU movie is playing everywhere.
