On Friday night, the young actors had another surprise when the star of the original movie, Sigourney Weaver, went to North Bergen High School in New Jersey to congratulate them.
"I represent all the Alien fans around the world who think that what you are doing is so cool," she told teens in a shared video on Twitter.
The science fiction / horror classic opened almost 40 years ago on May 25, 1979.
Twitter fans celebrated #AlienDay on Friday, April 26th. The key events of the film take place on a planet called LV-426.
Weaver was playing Ripley, the only survivor of a commercial ship decimated by the violent creature. She returned for three suites.
Students made their own costumes for "Alien: The Play" from recycled materials.
"You are my childhood hero," says one of the students to Weaver in a video clip as she gets hugged. "I can not believe you're here now."
