The 2019 NFL draft is officially over and the Redskins had the last choice to close this year. The Redskins ended up with a total of 10 choices and made two transactions in the repechage. The Redskins picked players from both sides of the ball, but focused more on the attack this year. They doubled to wide receiver, guard and linebacker.
The Redskins got their franchise QB when they selected the QB Ohio State Dwayne Haskins in the first round. They then got their replacement from Preston Smith during the first-round pick to choose the Mississippi State OLB Ride Sweat. On the second day, they accepted Haskins' request to get one of his Buckeye receivers when Washington added Terry McLaurin in the third round. They made their second exchange and transformed a 3rd round pick in 2nd.
Day 3 saw them add 7 new players. They made a wise choice when they chose Stanford RB Bryce Love who tore his ACL in December. Then they took turns fighting off offensive linemen, adding Indiana guard Wes Martin and C / G Ross Alabama Ross Pierschbacher. Round 5 also added Cole Holcomb of North Carolina, ILB, who is an attacker.
Round 6 started giving the Redskins value choices. They added another wide catcher with Kelvin Harmon of the US state, friend of Dwayne Haskins, who fell from his screening of the second day. Then they finally went to high school and added James Madison, CB Jimmy Moreland. The Redskins ended their draft by choosing Jordan Brailford of the Oklahoma State OLB.
How did the Redskins behave in the repechage this year? Where did they miss? What was your favorite choice?
