After spending the first night of the NFL draft in 2019, the Cowboys joined the party on Friday. Dallas selected defensive tackle Trysten Hill of central Florida with the general's 58th pick and Penn State guard Connor McGovern with the general's 90th pick.
On the final day of the draft, the Cowboys drafted Memphis offender Tony Pollard (fourth round), Miami's corner, Michael Jackson (fifth round), Miami's defenseman, Joe Jackson (fifth round), Texas A's safety & M Donovan Wilson (sixth round), Ohio State running back Mike Weber (seventh round) and Oregon defensive end Jalen Jelks (seventh round).
Here's how SportsDay writers and contributors ranked the 2019 Cowboys Preliminary Class:

Day 2: C
Day 3: B
Global mark: B-less
First, the rating would be much higher if we had Amari Cooper as the first round choice. But on day 2, they went to look for a DT (Trysten Hill) who was not a regular starter in central Florida and who seems to have gambling problems from top to bottom. Connor McGovern, another offensive lineman, foreshadows an uneasiness about the future of Lael Collins or Connor Williams. But the depth in the straight line is never a bad thing.

Day 2: B-less
Day 3: B-less
Global mark: B-less
The Cowboys did not necessarily need to recruit for the need, and it was obvious. They again waited for the sixth round to take a safety step, thus avoiding the greatest number of talents for years at the station. They also took Trysten Hill in the second, even though he was screened a third round at best because of attitude issues. Also took two halves. Connor McGovern was a good value in the third. A curious project. We will have to play to make sense.

Day 2: B
Day 3: C
Global mark: C
Stephen Jones said that once the project was completed, The Star members had a better opinion of players in a safe position than those outside. This became evident in the way the Cowboys led this project. The security class was strong. Do not take it before the end of the sixth round loses the opportunity to improve the position.

Day 2: C-plus
Day 3: B
Global mark: B-less
When I look at the Cowboys project as a whole, I liked the decisions to negotiate twice for extra choices on the last day and the additions they made to the backstop, the defensive line, the Offensive line and half corner. But what prevents my rating from being higher, is that security has not been addressed sooner.

Day 2: C
Day 3: B +
Global mark: B
Tony Pollard could be exciting. DE Joe Jackson could indeed be a bargain. DT Trysten Hill could flourish under DC Rod Marinelli. Overall, there is not much to complain about, but not to denounce either. The Cowboys have even set up security in the last rounds, the spot has become clear, they deem it appropriate. It must be what the building of the solid list looks like.

Day 2: C-plus
Day 3: C
Global mark: C
The Cowboys did not come out of this year's draft with a specific starter, but they met the needs. The most outstanding choices for me are DT Trysten Hill, RB Tony Pollard and S Donovan Wilson. Hill should be in the rotation immediately, Pollard is running to be the first man back from the team and the third in the back and Wilson is a versatile safety that can also play against money .

Day 2: B-
Day 3: C
Global mark: C +
The 2019 class is not sexy, but solid. Trysten Hill strengthens the home defense line and is expected to replace Maliek Collins in 2020. Connor McGovern was too good to be left to pass, although Dallas did not "need" offensive linemen inland. Tony Pollard and Mike Weber add depth to the race behind Zeke. Michael Jackson is an excellent development project for back defenders Kris Richard and Joe Jackson can strengthen the defense against the Dallas race to the limit. Jalen Jelks was a sure bet in the seventh round. The reception of the Cowboys managed a double instead of a home run.
