Avengers: End of the game will close the first three phases of the Marvel Film Universe, allowing the new heroes to truly take center stage. With the Eternals, Shang-Chi and Black Widow getting their big screen for phase 4, not to mention the theory Strange doctor, Black Panther, as well as Captain Marvel's suites and a new selection of streaming shows on Disney Plus, the Marvel Film Universe will be very different in a year.

And one of those big changes concerns everything End of Game leaves Sam Wilson of Anthony Mackie, code name: the Falcon.

At the end of End of GameSteve Rogers finally finds his peace. He uses time travel to retire and spend his life with Peggy Carter, aging as he returns to the present in the old-fashioned way without Pym's particles. And when he gets there, just seconds after he's gone, as the rest of the Avengers think, he passes his shield to Sam Wilson.

Sam Wilson is now the falcon and Captain America

And it's a movement straight out of the history of Marvel Comics.

As part of the Marvel Comics Marvel Comics initiative, many of Marvel's Avengers stars have undergone unexpected and truly interesting changes, leading to new replacements who all have one thing in common: they are not not white. That's what gave us Kamala Khan as Mrs. Marvel, Robbie Reyes as Ghost Rider, Sam Alexander as Nova, Jane Foster as Thor and, most relevant inEnd of Game world, Sam Wilson assuming the role of Captain America.

Marvel NOW! began with writer Rick Remender, artist John Romita Jr. sending Steve Rogers to Dimension Z, a nightmare world ruled by Arnim Zola, turned Nazi and turned into a computer. He was trapped there for a decade, then fought against the supervillain known as Iron Nail, who neutralized the Super Soldier serum in Rogers' body. This caused Steve's body to quickly catch up with its current age, physically making it to the nonagenarian that it really is. Steve takes a step back from field work to become a tactical commander and asks his longtime friend, the Falcon, to take the shield.

From the beginning, Sam-as-Cap was assailed on all sides. Both in the real world – where fanatical fans raged and Tucker Carlson is angry at him for fighting racist Serpent Sons – and on the page. In his adventures, he had to deal with a hostile public. coaching himself with a hawk (a bird-human hybrid named Joaquin); lead a new Avengers team including Ms. Marvel, Nova and Miles Morales; and deal with Kobik, a little girl who, thanks to the DIY of SHIELD, is the sensible physical incarnation of the cosmic cube.

Sam's tenure as Captain America – during which he wore this pretty red, white and blue winged suit and worn the shield – finally came to a voluntary end, if not exactly happy. Rage, a super-powerful superhero, had become a supportive player in the Captain America: Sam Wilson comic, where he fought the US private police force and acted as Sam's conscience. Encouraged by the robbery and beaten in a coma by the very supervillains he had put in jail, Rage's fights discourage Sam. He resigned as Captain America, returning as Falcon when Secret Empire and his takeover of the United States by Hydra began.

Falcon-Cap now has its place in the film world Marvel

And he begins to get noticed by stars.

Earlier this month, Disney confirmed the long-running rumors: Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan would star in a series on Winter Soldier and the Falcon, distributed on the company's next broadcast platform, Disney More. The two seldom shared the same screen time in Captain America's films, but in those moments, the actors showed instant comic chemistry – as in Marvel's press tours.

We know very little about the series at the moment. It was understood that the show would be called Falcon and winter soldierbut with Sam's new status quo, this seems to be changing. If Sam is to become Captain America now, maybe Bucky could even take his nickname Wakandan, the white wolf.

Whatever the name of the show, it could potentially to be settled before End of Game, but given the short time that Bucky has not frozen, brainwashed or cracked in the modern world of Marvel Cinematic, it's hard to imagine when it would happen. It seems much more likely that it will be about Bucky and Sam and their postEnd of Game adventures.

According to Disney, the series will premiere with the launch of Disney Plus on November 12, 2019.
