Tales Soares: Fashion Model Dies at São Paulo Fashion Week

A 26-year-old model died after collapsing on the podium of São Paulo Fashion Week.

Tales Soares was taking part in an Ocksa show when he fell, after stumbling on his laces.

The audience first thought it was part of the show. The models watched in horror as the firefighters rushed to his rescue and took him out of the scene.

He was taken to the hospital but could not be resuscitated.

The images on social media show Soares walking to the end of the bridge and making a U-turn before staggering and falling.

The organizers confirmed his death on Twitter but did not give details.

"We are sorry for his loss and extend our deepest condolences to the family of Tales," said the statement, adding that they provide "all the necessary assistance at this difficult time."

A few hours ago, he had posted on his Instagram account photos of the event.
