Canon is seriously concerned about lenses without a mirror

Canon has released extremely impressive lenses for its RF system cameras, but the range still requires a lot of deficiencies. It seems like they will release a multitude of RF lenses in the future.

According to rumors, Canon plans to launch six to eight RF-mount lenses in 2020, some of which include f / 4L zooms and non-L lenses as well as more esoteric and / or advanced designs. This is certainly good news because the new RF 28-70mm f / 2L USM lenses are really impressive, but they are also very expensive, and with devices like the EOS RP offering full frame options without mirrors very economical (an even cheaper body is in preparation), some photographers would probably prefer more affordable lens options.

In addition to the 2020 goals, it would appear that an RF 85mm f / 1.2L is announced next month, bringing the classic and very popular lens to the mirrorless mount. It is likely that the new version would bring improvements over the Mark II EF version, possibly improving wide-open sharpness and chromatic aberrations. Whatever it is, it is good to see the race without a mirror continue to heat up.
