Cheers! A Mets fan throws beer on Braun brewers at the HR's approach

NEW YORK (AP) – Brewers left-field player Ryan Braun was surprised by a sudden surprise after Pete Alonso's first-run ball – a cold player immediately crashed into his cap.

Braun jumped against the wall for control of Alonso in the first leg Sunday at Citi Field, while a Mets fan leaned over and seemed to be trying to catch the ball in his beer mug. The two arrived empty and the beer from the fan spread and splattered Braun's hat.

The ball left the wall and Alonso headed for a triple. Braun was allowed to shake the beak of his cap while center player Lorenzo Cain burst out laughing.

Replay review confirmed the referees' decision that there was no interference from the public and the ball did not cross the fence.

Alonso scored on Todd Frazier's single for a 1-0 lead.
