CINCINNATI – An 8 year old child helped his older sister escape from a potential abductor, he is hailed as a hero by the Ohio police.
The children were traveling Thursday afternoon with their grandmother, 69-year-old Nita Coburn, to the Atrium Medical Center. Coburn was parked in front of a hospital entrance and helped a friend head for the door. The children stayed in the back seat, the police said.
About 10 seconds after Coburn's release from the car, Dalvir Singh, 24, is accused of entering and attempting to flee with the children.
"The little boy opened the door to escape and the little girl started jumping too, but the man grabbed the hoodie from the little girl who was not allowing her to leave," he said. wrote the police on Facebook Friday. "As she was trying to escape, her little brother grabbed her and moved her away from the kidnapper." They both fell off the vehicle as he moved. "

The 10-year-old girl and boy managed to escape, but Coburn was not aware of it, the police said as she ran beside the car on the opposite side. She hung on the car until the acceleration and was forced to let her go, police said.
But neighborhood agents arrested Singh near Nelbar Street and he was arrested.
The police originally responded to the hospital after the report of an injured woman and a car theft.
Singh is charged with two counts of kidnapping, criminal assault and robbery.
The Middletown Police Division said it would officially recognize the boy's actions at a later date.
"This little guy is a hero, no question," Chief Rodney Muterspaw said in a statement. "He took his sister out of the car without worrying about his own safety – it's amazing at his age."
Muterspaw also congratulated the two officers who arrested Singh.
