Epic Games has updated the game 's news feed to announce a new item meant for Fortnite Battle Royale, the shadow bomb (in the shadows).
Epic has released three client / corrective updates as a result, which they generally do not do. Each update saw new files added, and the data miners allowed new content to leak during idle time.
The fictional bomb was originally disclosed in v8.40 update; however, there was no image of the item before v8.50 update. With the shadow bomb image, the sound of the shadow bomb was broadcast which can be heard in the embedded tweet below.

Epic recently updated the news feed in the game to announce that the new item would arrive on Fortnite Battle Royale. The description of the article reads as follows: "Stealth and utility are a surprise!". You can see the image of the ghost bomb in the news thread of the game below.
Epic has released v8.50 update on a Thursday and v8.40 update on a Wednesday. You can not guess when the next content update will take place. However, earlier in the season, Epic released most updates on Tuesday or Wednesday, so it's safe to assume that we'll see the next update fall one of two days.
