After writing the NFL in 2017, the chiefs were crushed by analysts, experts, experts and all those who provided draft notes. Negotiating among Patrick Mahomes' top 10 picks was seen by most clients as a risky choice, a project and an impending bankruptcy. Two years later, the Chiefs have the MVP league title, which has had one of the best seasons in the history of the NFL.
I'm getting to the point of noting that draft picks immediately after the draft are stupid and generally unfair to players who all need time to develop in the NFL. Classifying teams according to their decisions is also questionable, as no one writes about it in the room at the moment decisions are made. Leaders are generally comfortable with their thoughts, allowing scouts and others to make their voices heard on the players. However, you rarely get the full picture, only what they decide to show you.
With all that in mind, this is where I feel like writing down the entire draft class for the chefs. If I'm wrong here, please call me back in the next few years. I promise you that you will not meet with sarcasm and glances. Click for ideas on each choice and I will give you a final grade for the whole class at the end.

The truth is that the leaders have used their first-round pick in this preliminary class to get a defensive end after four seasons of experience in the NFL. He will be more prepared than ever for a rookie at No. 29. Clark is showing unprecedented leadership, character and tenacity in the field.
The Chiefs' goal after the post-season deceptions going back to Alex Smith's tenure was to strengthen the defense. They failed to do so in 2018, and this failure probably cost them a trip to the Super Bowl. Now, with significant changes in defensive staff and coaching staff, Clark brings enough strength to the other 10 guys on the field with him.
People will try to make holes in this case by saying that the chiefs could have taken Dee Ford for less, they could have kept Justin Houston and they could have signed Trey Flowers. They had the opportunity to do all these things, but they did not do them. Why? Because Clark is the guy they've been targeting for months to improve their defense. Flowers, Ford and Houston have maintained the status quo, but Clark is bringing leaders to a new level in the eyes of the staff.
