Leonardo DiCaprio made a surprise appearance at a conference between Robert De Niro and Martin Scorsese at the Beacon Theater on Sunday as part of the Tribeca Film Festival.

After playing a clip of "The Wolf of Wall Street", De Niro and Scorsese explained how the famous director had started working with DiCaprio, a longtime collaborator. In the end, De Niro encouraged Scorsese to meet him after being impressed by the young actor of the time while he was working on 1993, "This Boy's Life".

"He's really good, this kid," recalls De Niro. "And that was it!"

Scorsese then called Leo to the scene, who had secretly sat in the audience. Wearing his baseball cap and black jacket, a disguised DiCaprio stood up and waved to the audience and the stars on stage.

He was applauded but did not participate in the discussion.
