New York Daily News | Kristie Ackert: It's not the 2019 Yankees that many of us dreamed of seeing, but they do the job. In this article, Ackert questions Aaron Boone about his feelings about running the club in his current state, and describes it as fun and rewarding. It is not difficult to imagine why he would say that; Random contributors like Gio Urshela and Thairo Estrada seem to come out of nowhere every day for the Yankees lately. Let's hope that the current group of "substitutes" will keep the good mojo until the return of big caliber. I can not wait.
MLB.com | Brian Hoch: About Urshela, the third baseman was hit by a left leg injury. He was struck in the left hand by a player of Nick Vincent for sure in Sunday's game against the Giants. Fortunately, X-rays came back negative. Ditto for DJ LeMahieu, absent yesterday because of inflammation of the knee. The last thing the Yankees need is more injuries, especially newer key contributors like Urshela and LeMahieu. Fortunately, it seems that the 2019 Yankees have taken a break for this time.
New York Post | George A. King III: Steve Donahue, coach of the Yankees, would have had this to say to Boone during the detox match of Miguel Andujar: "Andujar, three shots, no problem". For a ragtag Yankees roster that is doing well but probably playing a little above his head, the imminent return of Andujar is, to say the least, encouraging. Let's hope that Andujar will be able to hurry back and get to work like Gary Sanchez.
Gary Sanchez stat of the day
By Elias, Gary Sánchez's eight circuits in his first 15 games of the season are the fourth total to date of the season in Yankee history. It's also the highest number of games since the last 15 games since Alex Rodriguez hit 12 in the same stretch during his MVP campaign in 2007.

15 games, eight circuits. This should be the first thing that comes to mind when you think about Gary Sanchez and what he brings to the team. Yes, his skills in pit blocking are at best precarious. But if you are so focused on the fact that you miss his offensive production and his cannon arm, I'm sorry for you. Gary is our catcher, and he is one of the best in baseball.
