Katy Perry's excitement at making the headlines at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival lasted much longer than expected on Saturday, April 27th. Sunday afternoon, she sent a message of thanks to Facebook that will not fail to warm the hearts of New Orleans.

Perry also thanked the Rebels Brass Rebels, who accompanied him on Saturday in a thunderous version of "Dark Horse". She also thanked the Gospel Soul Children, who played with her in a mix of "Firework" and "Oh Happy Day." She also thanked the artist and poet Cleo Wade for decorating the stage.

In a Facebook post a few hours before her show Saturday, Perry confessed that she was spending her time poking a path through the party grounds and listening to music before her performance.
