After nearly two decades in the league, Sebastian Janikowski calls it a career.
Janikowski officially retired from the NFL Sunday after 19 seasons, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
"It was a good race," Janikowski told ESPN. "I'm still thinking about the Super Bowl – it's still hurting."

Janikowski was selected with the No. 17 pick among the Oakland Raiders in the 2000 NFL draft, becoming the best kicker since 2000. He has played for the Raiders for all but one of his league seasons. 80% of his placement attempts and 98.5% of his extra points throughout his career. He has compiled 1,913 career points.
The 41-year-old was also the oldest Raiders player in his team's history before signing with the Seattle Seahawks in 2018. Janikowski retired with more than $ 53 million in career earnings, the record among all pitchers in the history of the NFL.
With Janikowski out of the league, quarterback Tom Brady of the New England Patriots is now the last remaining NFL player since the 2000 draft.
