The event at the end of season 8 is beginning to take shape and we now know what will happen.
Over the past few days, we are slowly preparing the next Nexus event at Fortnite and we now have the latest clue.
Thanks to leaks FortTorywe can see that the Fortnite volcano will explode. This seems to happen when the six runes will activate in Loot Lake.
With five of the six runes currently activated, it looks like we should attend this event in the next few days.
Once the runes are activated and the volcano explodes, the players will be transported to the intermediate zone that played a role in the previous scenarios.
Once there, players will vote on any of the six items to bring back to the game.
These items are bouncers, drums, planes, tactical SMGs, grapplers and the Infinity blade.

This has been confirmed by multiple leaks from various sources and can be seen in the game. Drum and bouncers have appeared on two of the six Loot Lake screens.
It seems that the place where the runes are heading is literally the vault, which was also alluded to with the title screen of the cave filled with gold from the previous season.
It only remains to wait and see. It will be important to be in the game during the event as this will allow you to vote. Whatever you do, please do not choose the Infinity blade.
The rest is good game, but the return of planes would cause an interesting reaction from the players.
