The Pittsburgh Pirates and the Texas Rangers meet in the finale of their mini two-game set from Globe Life Park in MLB action on Wednesday.

The Pittsburgh Pirates will look after the game by the final score of 6-4 on Tuesday. Starling Marte and Josh Bell each had two RBIs with Marte homering while Bell added a double. Mark Reynolds and Adam Frazier each had an RBI to round out the Pirates scoring in the win. Cole Tucker and Colin Moran each had two hits while Gregory Polanco and Melky Cabrera and Elias Diaz each had their hits. Jordan Lyles went four innings, allowing two strokes on three hits while walking and striking out, not factoring in the decision. Kyle Crick got the win to improve to 1-1 while Felipe Vazquez added his 7th save in the year. Jameson Taillon will start game with a 4.06 ERA and 25 strikeouts this season. This will be Taillon's first career start against Texas.

The Texas Rangers will look to rebound after dropping game on Tuesday. Joey Gallo and Asdrubal Cabrera had two RBIs to round out Texas' scoring in the loss while Shin-Soo Choo and Logan Forsythe each went 2 for 5 at the dish in the loss. Elvis Andrus added a basic hit in the losing effort for the Rangers. Adrian Sampson allowed just five hits and no runs in his work. Jesse Chavez took the loss, falling to 0-1 on the year. Shelby Miller will start with two games and a 7.52 ERA and 10 strikeouts this season. In his career, Miller is 2-7 with a 4.88 ERA and 38 strikeouts against Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh is 1-8 in their last 9 games overall and 10-3 in their last 13 interleague road games Taillon's last 12 starts overall. Texas is 1-6 in their last 7 games against a team with a losing record and 2-6 in their last 8 games overall while the over is 3-1-1 in Miller's last 5 starts overall. The over is 11-5 in the last 16 meetings between these two teams.

I'm tempted to go with Pittsburgh here, but the fact is that Taillon, he has pitched it at some times on the year, got it roughed up in his last start. Miller has always struggled this season, giving up four times in the last few days and never really getting what you expect from Miller. I'm going to side with the over. Taillon is probably due for a bounce back but I do not think I'll tryst Miller ever again until he gives me a reason to.
