The newly elected President of the National Rifle Association (NRA) is committed to supporting any candidate who opposes the gun control policies of US Representative Lucy McBath, D-Ga.

"The one who runs against McBath will get the NRA down," Meadows said after returning to Georgia after the NRA convention in Indianapolis, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
"Whoever (runs against McBath) will get an endorsement from the NRA."

On the issue of the internal turmoil of the organization, she was kept, saying that all organizations had their problems. "We do not look back. Meadows previously served as Georgia's representative on the Republican National Committee and has been a staff member of several statewide campaigns.

McBath, meanwhile, has been making noise in Congress since taking office in January, cosponsoring and advocating for measures that introduce stricter gun control.

Despite Meadows' pledge to put the full weight of the NRA behind McBath's opponent, Georgia Democrat says it will not make any difference.
"Well, they all got the support of the NRA in the past, so it's no different," she told the editorial team.
