Moment has updated its apps for iOS and Android cameras with a host of new features to give you more control and more information about your photos and videos. What started out as a software companion to Moment's smartphone lens lineup has since become a fully-fledged camera application. With today's update, Moment has gained more features than other advanced camera applications, such as Halide and Filmic Pro, exclusive to iOS.
The iOS and Android versions of the Moment app receive new visual cues designed to show you which areas of your image are properly exposed and in focus. Zebra marks indicate underexposed or overexposed parts of the image, while focus allows the sharpest areas of the image.
On Android, users get some additional features in this update. The most useful of them is the ability to set separate focus and exposure points in an image. For example, you can expose an image for a background while staying focused on an object in the foreground. You can also record images simultaneously in RAW and JPG file formats. A new RGB histogram also allows you to better visualize the color, balance, and exposure levels of your video. Finally, the owners of Samsung and OnePlus will benefit from better device support with this update.
The Moment Camera app is available on both iOS and Android, where it now costs a unique upfront fee of $ 5.99 or $ 3.99 respectively for both. Moment is currently making a 15% sale in its store for all new customers who download the app, which is cheaper to buy one of the company's goals or smartphone accessories from other manufacturers.
