We recently learned that Marvel was developing a Ghost Rider series for Hulu with a Helstrom series. At the time, it was only revealed that the series would focus on the version of Robbie Reyes' character. What we did not know was if the series would be a fallout from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and featured the return of the actor Gabriel Luna.
Well, Variety confirmed that Luna would resume her role. But sources close to the production point out that it "will be a whole new iteration of the character, not linked to the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. scenario."
It's pretty cool! I thought Luna was great as a Ghost Rider in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. so I like that even though it's going to be a completely different iteration of the character, they've brought the same actor back to play it. He will be great. He has already proven that he had what it takes for this version of the character.
One of the things that I hope from the show is that it pushes things in a darker, more hardcore direction, which gives us a really awesome adaptation of the character.
Ghost Rider, also known as Robbie Reyes, "is consumed by the fire of hell and supernaturally linked to a demon." He lives on the border between Texas and Mexico and when he frees the runner , Robbie takes revenge on the innocent he meets, but struggles to control the power he's exercising ยป
Ingrid Escajeda will serve as showrunner and executive producer on the series with Paul Zbyszewski and Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb also executive producing.
Ghost Rider will probably end up crossing with the new Helstrom series.
What do you think of Luna's replica in her role as Robbie Reyes in this all-new fantasy Ghost Rider?
